Program Goals
Upon completion of the SOARescue Comprehensive EMT Refresher Program, the participant will:
  • Demonstrate current knowledge and competency across all five NCCP National Component domains: Airway, Cardiology, Trauma, Medical, and Operations.
  • Apply evidence-based assessment and treatment strategies to common and critical BLS patient presentations.
  • Integrate current Prehospital Evidence-Based Guidelines (EBGs) into clinical decision-making.
  • Identify and manage high-acuity, low-frequency emergencies including cardiac arrest, major trauma, stroke, and pediatric emergencies.
  • Incorporate patient safety practices, crew resource management, and wellness strategies into daily EMS operations.
  • Satisfy the 40-hour continuing education requirement for NREMT EMT recertification under the 2025 NCCP model.
